Goodberry’s Frozen Custard, The Triangle’s Frozen Custard Staple, Announces Partnership With Duke Children’s

Goodberry’s Frozen Custard has announced a year-long partnership with Duke Children’s through April 2025. This collaboration aims to support Duke Children’s advocacy for children’s health and excellence in clinical care. Through the fundraising efforts of Fountains of Hope, the newly created “Harper’s Strawberry Delight” Concrete, and both monetary and frozen custard donations, Goodberry’s is proud to contribute to Duke Children’s initiatives. Goodberry’s kicked off this partnership in April 2024 by hosting its inaugural Pickleball Charity Challenge.

“Goodberry’s Frozen Custard is proud to partner with Duke Children’s in support of the hope, healing, and world-class clinical care they provide to thousands of children and their families every year,” said H.J. Brathwaite, president and CEO of Goodberry’s Frozen Custard.

Fountains of Hope, a Goodberry’s initiative, is a virtual and physical monetary donation opportunity that utilizes the iconic fountains located in various Goodberry’s courtyards. Any loose change tossed into the fountains through April 2025 will be directly donated to Duke Children’s. A virtual donation page has been created and can be accessed on Goodberry’s website for patrons looking to donate online.

Duke Children’s Patient Champion and Ambassador, Harper Harrell, has teamed up with Goodberry’s to create her very own Concrete that will be sold at all 9 area locations. “Harper’s Strawberry Delight” Concrete will feature a chocolate frozen custard base mixed with strawberries, brownie bits, and chocolate chips. $1 from every sale of “Harper’s Strawberry Delight” Concrete during the month of August will be donated to Duke Children’s.

When asked about how she came up with her Signature Concrete, Harper said, “It’s based on chocolate covered strawberries, which are my favorite dessert… after trying a few options, this Concrete was my favorite.”

In an effort to serve smiles to the patients at Duke Children’s, the Goodberry’s team will visit the hospital on August 13, 2024, with frozen custard in tow.

As part of the partnership, Goodberry’s hosted its inaugural Pickleball Charity Challenge, where attendees participated in a pickleball tournament, enjoyed frozen custard concretes, and raised $3,500 for Duke Children’s.
